Q. Who do I contact if I'm concerned with beach water quality or notice something abnormal related to my beach.

Q. When does water quality monitoring begin for the season?
A. Two weeks before Memorial Day.
Q. When does water quality monitoring end for the season?
A. Water quality must be monitored at beaches through Labor Day week; however, some municipalities may choose to keep lifeguards at a few beaches into September. Those beaches will continue to be monitored until the beaches are closed down for the season.
Q. When do beaches open for the season?
A. When the municipality provides lifeguards at the beach. If there is not a lifeguard at the beach, the beach is not open.
Q. Can I bring my dog to the beach?
A. Most municipalities do not allow dogs on the beach from March 15 through October 15.
Q. When do coastal observation flights begin for the season?
A. One week before Memorial Day.
Q. How often do you fly the coast?
A. Every day but Wednesday during the summer beach season.
